James E. Mccallister

James E. "Jim" McCallister, age 47, of Toledo, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. He was born on July 20, 1966 in Toledo. Jim had worked at Saturn of Toledo as a technician for nearly 17 years prior to its closing. His true passion and was working on cars, especially muscle cars, he had a natural born talent for working on cars. Jim also loved playing the guitar.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lorrie (Ebersole) McCallister; children, Jennifer, Derek, Samantha, Danielle and Amber; mother and step-father, Roxie (Duane) Rutkowski; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Matthew, Benjamin, Duane, Jr., and Douglas; special friends, John and Gay.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin in the funeral home at 4:00 p.m.

The family would like to specially thank the nurses and staff at St. Anne's Cancer Center and also to the wonderful staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the diligent care and love they provided to Jim.
