James C. Davidson, Jr.

September 19, 1967 — August 5, 2022

James "Jamie" C. Davidson Jr. passed away on August 5, 2022 in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on September 19, 1967 to James "Jimmie" H. Davidson and Betty Davidson. He attended Toledo Public School system and he graduated from DeVilbiss High School where he was in the marching band. James was also in the jazz band and was an avid percussionist. He won highest accolades for his All-City jazz solo.

After high school, he went to Dayton Job Corps where he studied computer science. He had a lengthy career in the hospitality industry as well as the computer industry. He ended his career at Inverness Golf Club where he was known as "Boss Man". His love of music never left and he was very proud of his work. He played in various bands, where he wrote and produced music for them. He had superb knowledge of the equipment and technical elements as a musician. One of his greatest achievements was when he rode his motor cycle to New York and obtained a record contract. His stage name was "Jamie Star"

Jamie met his true love, Tracy, and together had two sons, Ja'Toriano and Brent. Life took them on their different paths but they later united in marriage where their family grew with the addition of their daughter, Mar'Tay, as well as a host of adopted sons, affectionately known as the Lost Boys who he mentored. Jamie was truly loved by many including two of Tracy's special friends, whom they called themselves the two "third wheel girls" (Barbara Stovall and Johnetta Bryson).

Jamie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Lewis Clarence Lee, who traveled and played with the Glen Covington Trio; and Marjie and Lawson Davidson. Additionally he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mar'Tay, his father, Jimmie Davidson Sr., and his uncle, Bruce Lee. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Tracy; sons, Ja'Toriano, and Brent; grandson's, Kairo and Kashton who will truly miss their "Soda Pop"; mother, Betty Lucas; and sisters, Maria, Sherry, and Shayla; as well as a host of relatives, loved ones and friends.
