James Dartt

James E. Dartt, age 73, of Luckey, Ohio, passed away on his birthday and Father's Day, Sunday, June 17, 2007 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born in 1934 to Ervin and Eleanor (Brewer) Dartt in Toledo. Jim retired from the former C&O Railroad after many years of service. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran. Jim enjoyed harness racing and going to the casinos.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his former wife, Elizabeth Dartt and brother, Royce Dartt. He is survived by his children, Debora; Rick (Maria); Don (Victoria); Dean (Lynn) Dartt and Annette (Rob) Zunk; grandchildren, Vicki (John); Julia; Joseph; James Dartt; Tania (Rick) Potter; Breann; Kristal Zunk and Hope Ann Prater; great grandchildren, Tori; Ricky; Emily Potter and Alexander and Makaila Dartt; sisters; Nancy Zunk, Geraldine Shroyer, Sandra Veler and Judy (Fred) Sander, brothers; Paul (Kay), Larry (Velma), Jack (Judy) and Guy Michael Dartt, numerous nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, "Honey".

The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
