James "Sweet" Allen Clark, age 67, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at his home on October 2, 2021. James was born October 12, 1953 in Hickman, Kentucky to James and Willa Clark.
In his younger years he had a joy for boxing, with his quick hands and light feet, where he earned the nickname "Sweet." James enjoyed spending time with his sons, sitting at his kitchen table reminiscing and having lots of laughs. He had a love for watching movies, listening to music, spending time with family and friends and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He was employed with The Andersons for 24 years after retiring October 10, 2015.
In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Lorraine Clark; and brothers, Ricky and Robin Clark.
He is survived by his sons, James L. (Julie) and Andre L. (Paula) Clark; brother, Richard Bridges; grandchildren, Lexus, Lamar, Dyon, Doniven, Andre, Tyla, Teia, Samantha (Fidencio), Aleesha (Kristen), Dalin; and 7 great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021, from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - Southwest Chapel (419-381-1900) where a Memorial Service will begin at 12 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in Sweet's memory.
