James C. Glenn Sr.

James C. Glenn, Sr., age 82, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away July 28, 2014 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born January 16, 1932 in Richville, Ohio to Elmer and Cornelia (McBeth) Glenn. Jim served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a lifelong employee of the IRS as a Manager, in both Toledo and Mansfield, Ohio. Jim enjoyed reading, camping and playing cards, but most importantly spending time with his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jean (Terry) Glenn, children, Joan (Nicholas) Glenn-Katzakis, Jamie (Jim) Haack, Jim (Tammy) Glenn Jr., Janet (Tom) Miller and Dr. Jeff (Megan) Glenn; grandchildren, Jeremy (Lisa), Josh (Samantha), Jessica, Mary (Tim), Jenny, Jill, Andy (Marcleana), Brady, Emily, Izzy and Annie; great grandchildren, Brenton, Emiliana, Jordyn, Isla, Destiny, Kalina and Hudson; sister, Margaret (Duane) Marnin and brother, Steve (Diane) Glenn. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Kraft.

The family will receive guests, Thursday August 7, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Memorial Services will begin Thursday at 5:00 pm. at the funeral home.
