James D. "Jimmy" Baker, III, age 54, of Maumee, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at home. He was born on January 7, 1965 to James II and Sandra (Powell) Baker in Toledo. Jim graduated from Macomber in 1983. He worked as a welder/machinist for many years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and being outdoors and on the water. Jim had a great sense of humor, was ornery and will be missed for always speaking his mind. He was a family man, and would help anyone in need. Jim's smile and spirit will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Baker. Jim is survived by his loving wife 11 years, Kristy Baker; children, Joshua and Destini Baker; step-son, Jacob Miller; grandchildren, Ethan, Corey and Justin; brothers, David (Tobey) and Steven (Lynnette) Baker; other siblings, Mike (Barb), Jerry (Amanda), Aaron, Michelle (Danny), Chet, Mike, Candy May and Jeremy (Valarie); and many other extended family members and dear friends.
Per Jim's wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life to honor Jim will be held at a later date. Newcomer – Southwest Chapel (419-381-1900) assisted the family with professional services.
