James A. Zupancic

James A. Zupancic, age 61, of Maumee, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born August 28, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to Albert and Frances Zupancic. Jim was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran serving in the US Marine Corps. He attended the University of Toledo, graduating in 1973 with an Associates Degree in Engineering, and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.

Left to cherish his memory are his step-sons, David Dickens and Jeffre Dickens and granddaughter, Janelle Dickens. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Zupancic and step-son, Todd Dickens.

The family will receive guests Monday, September 16, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church (South Erie and Harrison Streets) Toledo, Ohio.
