Jacob A. "Jake" Kersey, age 23, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016. He was born on October 16, 1992 to Richard Kersey and Linda (Miller) Kersey in Toledo. Jake graduated from Whitmer High School, and was a part of DECA. He loved football, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Miami Dolphins. Jake enjoyed going drag racing with his dad. He enjoyed quoting music lyrics to his favorite songs and had a love for animals. Jake loved to make people laugh, which will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jake is survived by his loving dad, Rick and step-mom, Pam; mother, Linda; sisters, Sarah (Burke) Snyder, Katie (Broc) Horn, Amy Kersey, Brittney (Ryan) Marx, and Brooke Jackson; nieces and nephews, Lainey, Ryleigh, Aubrey, Evan, Faith, Kristopher and Brandon; grandparents, Jeryl (Nancy) Kersey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and his friends through recovery. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roger and Esther Miller; and his beloved golden, Charlie.
Visitation and Services will all be Private for Jake. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
