Jack Mehlman, age 83, of Toledo, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012, surrounded by his loving daughters. He was born September 23, 1929, in Toledo to Dr. Isadore and Myrtle Mehlman. Jack was a proud alumnus of Libbey High School and also a graduate of the University of Toledo. He was employed for 40 years at Gross Electric. Jack enjoyed fishing, gardening and was known as "Jack of all trades." Jack loved to help others.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Judi (John) Miller, Kathy (Raymond) Crabtree and Dr. Sharon (Bill) Piper; grandchildren whom he encouraged and delighted in, Matthew Crabtree, Dr. Chelsea Crabtree, Jason (Hannah) Miller, Jaclyn (Raul) Cardenas and Cristy Piper; three great grandsons; sister, Marjorie Swope; many nieces and nephews, and special niece, Elissa (Peter) Delfico. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his faithful wife, Patricia (McStay) Mehlman; brother, Dr. Duane Mehlman.
The family will receive guests Friday, October 5, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Assembly of God, 5025 Glendale Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43614.
