Jack McKim Lockert, Jr., age 78, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2014 at Bortz Health Care Facility in Rose City, Michigan. He was born on June 12, 1936 to the late Myrtle and Jack Lockert, Sr. in Toledo, Ohio.
Jack retired from Panasonic after 30 years in sales. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Jack played, coached and refereed with many local hockey teams including, Toledo Barons, Toledo Mercurys, Macomber and the University of Toledo Club. He was a member of the Masons Harbor Light Lodge 746 in Point Place for over 50 years. Jack enjoyed his retirement years up North at his grandfather's farm.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jodi Critch, Jack III (Darin), Jennifer (Steve) Ellis, David and Dennis (Beth); sister, Dolores Mann; grandchildren, Nicholas Harmon, Sarah and Gannon Critch, Gage, Chase, Cole and Olivia Ellis, Isaac Lockert and Cody Watson, Angel Lockert.
The family will receive guests from 2-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Masonic Service will begin at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, the Funeral Service will follow. Burial will take place at Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery.
