Jack A. Anderson, a very kind and wonderful man, entered into the gates of heaven, Wednesday, October 24, 2007. He was born August 20, 1918 to John and Martha Anderson in Cleveland, Ohio. Jack attended Cleveland State College before going to work for the Cleveland Twist Drill Company. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Navy on the LST 1002 in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters of War. After the war, Jack moved to Toledo and opened his own business, Anderson Industrial Supply Company. He was a member of the Toastmasters for many years and received numerous awards for his creative presentations. He was also an avid golfer for many years.
Jack married his true love, Patricia "Patty" Huebner on July 3, 1976. Patty survives him along with his children through marriage, Susan Temme (Mark) of Toledo, OH; Cathy Terrill of Moorpark, CA and Sandra Nunn of Oakwood, OH. Jack was "Papa" to 8 grandchildren, Annmarie Robasser (John); LisaMarie Barnes (Richard); Tracy and Jennifer Terrill; Ryan Nunn (Heidi); Nicole and Ashley Nunn and Casey Stelzer; 4 great grandchildren, Morgan Robasser; Isaiah Santos and Ricky and Kimberly Barnes; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Barbara Weber; niece, Diane Bartosic (David) and many kind and loving friends.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by 2 sisters; "son", Mark Huebner; son-in-law, Fred Terrill and beloved mother-in-law, Marie Meier.
The family is deeply grateful for the loving care from his many caregivers in recent years including, Dr. Barney Wisinger; Dr. Kenneth Krupp and his wonderful nurses; Dr. Lawrence Elmer; and the staff at Swan Creek Health Care Center.
Jack was a member of Monclova Road Baptist Church and leaves many friends, especially "the girls" who rejoice at his home-going.
The family will receive guests Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. at Monclova Road Baptist Church, 7819 Monclova Rd., Monclova, Ohio. (PLEASE NOTE MONCLOVA RD. DETOUR). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Russ Merrin and Pastor David Westmeyer. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
