Isidoro J. Vendemo
Isidoro J. Vendemo, 81 of Sylvania passed away Sunday, July 11, 2004 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born May 3, 1923 to Isidoro R. and Nancy (Galli) Vendemo in Toledo. Isidoro was employed with George Gradel Construction for many years retiring in 1985. He was a lifetime member of the Ohio Operating Engineers Local #18. He enjoyed bowling and golfing with friends for many years. Isidoro was a lifelong parishioner and graduate of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines serving during WWII.
In addition to his parents, Isidoro was preceded in death by his brother, Angelo. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty J. Vendemo; children, Joe (June) Vendemo; Bill (Linda) Vendemo; Susan (Terry) Miller; Cindi (Bob) Ruff; Nancy Vendemo and Carol (Marty) Ruff; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, James Vendemo and many dear friends, surviving and deceased.
The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 Tuesday evening. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St Mary's Church, 219 Page St. Officiating will be Fr.Donnelly. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Northwest Ohio Hospice or to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
