Irene E. Miller, long time resident of Toledo, OH, passed away on December 16, 2022, at age 81. Daughter of the late Fletcher and Irene (nee Wagner) Hall. Wife of the late Mark Miller Sr. Mother of Mark Miller Jr., Barb (Gunner) Manuli, Teresa Miller, Tina Kleeberger, and Heidi (the late James) Stange. Grandmother to Raymond (Jamie) Miller, Cindy (Jeff) Long, Christopher (Holly) McCrory, Shayne Miller-Westfield, Ernie Stange, Joshua Stange, Allister Stange, Nathan Stange, and the late Brandon Miller. Great grandmother to Raymond M. Miller, Noemie Miller, Brando Miller, Natalie McCrory, Hannah McCrory, Hailey McCrory, Kassidy Stange, and Oliver Stange. Sister of Henry (Jackie) Hall, Elaine (the late Jim) Swartz, Carol (the late Eugene) Carter, the late Geraldine (Burt) VanWormer, Iona Mae (Frank) Schermerhorn, Betty Jean (Sam) Schermerhorn, Fletcher (Dawn) Hall, Jr., Phyllis Chatfield, Donald Hall, Richard Hall and Alta (Jack) Hawks. Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Irene will hold the legacy of the paper route here in Toledo, that she held after her mother. This route has been in the family for over 100 years, and will remain in the family, thanks to future generations keeping the legacy alive. She enjoyed watching different sporting events with members of her family, especially her grandson Raymond. Irene also joined a mother/son bowling league with her grandson when he was younger. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, and spending time at the casino. Irene was known for bringing odds and ends gifts home to her family members that she found frequently at places like Big Lots and Ollie's. Elaine and Irene were known for their dancing skills at any family gathering, their favorite song being "Old Time Rock and Roll" by Bob Seger. She will be greatly missed by her family members and friends.
A visitation will be held at 11:00AM on December 28, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614.
Irene's funeral service will be immediately following visitation at 1:00PM on December 28, 2022 also at Newcomer Funeral Home.
Irene will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
