Irene M. Davidson, age 94, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at The Lakes of Monclova where she resided for the past year. She was born on May 9, 1921 to Christopher Gilbert and Eliza M. (Perrier) Ackerman in Toledo. Irene graduated from Woodward High School and worked for Toledo Trust as a secretary in Comptroller Department for over 20 years. She was a member of Regina Coeli Church and during retirement she was a former member the F.O.E., Eleanor Kahle Senior Center and enjoyed playing cards at the Zablocki Center.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Patricia (Gregory) Rumer, John R. Davidson, Raymond N. Davidson and Michele Wood; grandchildren, Ryan Wood, Abbey (Greg) Humberston, Nicole Wood, Rhett and Adam Davidson; great-grandchildren, Samantha Humberston and Colton Wood-Hewes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marguerite J. Whitehill and Della Draper; brother, Dan Ackerman.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Scripture Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Thursday. Entombment will be Private and will take place in Toledo Memorial Park.
