Irene J. Zaciek

Irene J. Zaciek, age 92, of Temperance, MI passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at The Manor at Perrysburg. She was born on September 26, 1923 to Joseph and Anna (Klatt) Czubachowski in Toledo, Ohio. Irene married Raymond P. Zaciek in Toledo on October 5, 1946 and he survives. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1941. Irene was proud of her Polish heritage and was a member of TAPS (Toledo Area Polka Society), IMA (International Music Assoc.), Regina Coeli Auxiliary and Catholic War Vets, Logsdon-Walla Post #639. Irene's pride and joy was her family, she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her husband Ray loved to dance and vacation in Florida. Her family will always remember her delicious cooking and baking.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Ray; children, Alan (Linda) Zaciek, Cynthia (James) Loo and Mark Zaciek; grandchildren, Michael and Joseph Zaciek, Elizabeth (Justin) Zemanski, Jonathan Loo, Jenny Coehrs and Veronica Zaciek; great-grandchildren, Kira and Jay Zemanski, Cayden Coehrs and Liam Grzmkowski. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rachael Loo; brother, Bernard Czubachowski; sisters, Alice Crouch, Martha Jaworski, Dorothy Owczarzak and Jeanne Bloomfield.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. with her Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Parkway, Toledo, OH 43612.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to a charity of the donor's choice.

The family would like to specially thank the nurses and staff at The Manor at Perrysburg and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the diligent care and love that they provided to Irene.
