Irene F. Czubachowski

Irene Czubachowski, age 94, of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2024.

Irene was born March 3, 1930 to Frank and Mary Czubachowski. She graduated from Harriett Whitney Vocational School in 1948. Irene worked at First National (Fifth Third) Bank for her entire career, later retiring in the 1990’s. During that time she loved spending weekends with her loved ones at the lake, cherishing those memories with her family and friends, Irene was always fond of these moments. She was a member of Saint Hyacinth Seniors, Margaret Hunt Seniors, and the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary #639.

Irene was a longtime resident of Oblates Senior Apartments before moving to Maumee this year. While living here, she made many loving friendships with other residents.

Irene enjoyed many activities such as sewing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her true passion was cooking and her recipes are legendary. Her confections were in such demand that she sold cookies and coffee cakes throughout the year.

Irene is survived her sister, Beatrice Balusik, great nephew, Troy (Holly) Szczepanski and great niece Tracy Meyers, and five great great nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held Monday, September 9, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with a funeral mass immediately following, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church at  719 Evesham Ave, Toledo, OH 43607.
