Iola H. Hrevnak, age 89 of Lambertville, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo, where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 20, 1923 to Andrew and Mary (Bodzar) Milibak in Toledo. Following high school, Iola worked as a riveter on war planes at the former Jeep plant during WWII. Iola will always be remembered for her artistic ability and meticulous perfection, especially the wedding cakes. In addition, she truly enjoyed cooking and baking traditional Hungarian dishes and pastries.
Iola was a devout Catholic and deeply religious. Faith carried her through many of life's challenges. She would remind her family of the power of prayer and to pray often. Iola's family is very proud of her accomplishments and ability to maintain an independent lifestyle.
