Ingrid Wood

Ingrid Wood, age 64, of Toledo, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. She was born on April 16, 1949 to Wilhelm and Anni (Waldert) Martin in Frankfort, Germany. Ingrid graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She often made the Dean's List while attending UT. For over 20 years Ingrid worked as a registered nurse at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Agency and various other nursing facilities. In her spare time she enjoyed sunbathing, swimming at numerous health clubs and especially spending time with her family. Ingrid had a great love for animals, especially pitbulls and other dogs; one true passion that she was involved with was the Toledo Area Humane Society.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving son, Robert (Dalina Marinski) Wood; mother, Anni Martin; sister, Claudia (Peter) Kunze; granddaughter, Joceyln Wood and Estrellia Escobar; canine companion, Lucy. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilhelm.
