Ineva Woodard, age 91, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in Toledo. Born June 7, 1926, in Rison, Arkansas, to Ollie (Atwood) Ballard and Edward Ballard, Ineva moved to Toledo as a young woman to attend the University of Toledo, where she majored in accounting. She was employed for many years with the City of Toledo, as an accounting clerk. After retiring from the City of Toledo, Ineva continued to work part-time as a sales associate at the Elder Beerman Department Store at Woodville Mall until it's closing in 2009.
Ineva was a member of Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was treasurer for many years. An avid card player, she enjoyed monthly games with her friends.
Ineva is survived by daughters, Deborah and Patrice Woodard; grandson, Everett Woodard; nephews, Lon Woodard and Michael Hayes; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Boulevard, Toledo, Ohio. Visitation will take place at 11:00 A.M.
