Ilse Spolnik

Ilse Spolnik, age 78, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, May 12th, 2009 at the Toledo Hospital. She was born December 5th, 1930 in Germany. Ilse was employed with the former Golden Haven Nursing Home for several years. She was also a longtime member of Redeemer Missionary Church. Ilse enjoyed cooking, gardening and caring for her pets. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

Ilse was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Spolnik, Sr.; son, Erich Spolnik and grandson, Joey Spolnik. She is survived by her sons, Rudolph Spolnik, Jr. and Pete (Cynthia) Spolnik; grandchildren, Jenny; Brent; Rebecca and Melissa; several great grandchildren; 1 sister and 2 brothers in Germany and many loving extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
