Ila L. Madden

Ila L. Madden, age 76, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Toledo Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 27, 1945 in Toledo. Ila worked as an admitting specialist for many years at UTMC before retiring. She was a longtime member of Christ the King Church. Ila loved the Lord and was strong in her faith. She enjoyed cooking and was a hard worker. Ila loved her country music and dancing. She always looked forward to spending time with her family and all of her grandchildren. Ila's smile, spirit, and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Versie Keller, Alyene Tope, Elsie Cameron, Frank Hudson, Alvie Hudson and Nelson Hudson. Left to cherish Ila's memory are her loving daughters, Tina Simon and Lisa Villarreal; son, Robert Madden, Jr.; grandchildren, Ciara (Brayden), Chantell (Steven), Chase, Blake, and Trent; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Colton, Caliana, Kenzie, Kaira and Cambria; former spouse and best friend, Bob Madden, Sr.; siblings, Emmit Hudson, Vanetta Gierczak and Lila Hudson; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Mass will begin Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, OH 43623 with a gathering in church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will take place in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. (meeting at the cemetery gates).

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Christ the King Catholic Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
