Ida Yeager

Ida "Sally" Yeager, age 93, resident of Holland, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Genacross of Lutheran Village. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, on December 30, 1928, to the late Clyde and Leona (Wachowiak) Offet.

Sally graduated from Woodward High School. Working numerous jobs in her earlier years, she later became a full time housewife, taking care of her husband and children. With her love for cooking, especially city chicken legs and chocolate cake, she made sure her husband and children were well taken care of with her delicious home cooked meals. A devout Christian, she was a lifelong member of St. Catherine of Siena. Sally loved bowling and tending to her garden. Above all, she was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed and loved the moments spent with her family, especially when she was able to watch and care for her grandchildren. Her smile, love, and cooking will forever be missed.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her children, Mike Yeager, Roxanne (Norbert) Feldmann, and Randy (Sue) Yeager; grandchildren, Joy (Brent) Billmaier, Bryan, Suzie, Katie, Kylie and Krista Yeager, Scott (Meghan) and Jeff (Amanda) Feldmann; and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Donald Yeager, whom she married on August 21, 1948; and two brothers, Edwin Offet and Clyde Offet Jr.

Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Sally's funeral Mass will take place on Monday, September 19, 2022, at St. Catherine of Siena, 4555 North Haven Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43612, at 10:30 am. Sally will be laid to rest next to Donald at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Living Hospice.
