Howard D. Young

We lost our Dad and Bumpa today but know he is with the love of his life Sharon. Howard D. Young passed away peacefully in his home Saturday Aug. 23, 2014. He was a devoted Dad and Grandpa. He loved golf and in earlier years loved coaching girls softball. Howard retired from Fiske Brothers in 1994. Howard was born Sept. 26, 1933 to Melvin and Minnie Young. Howard graduated from DeVilbiss High School. In October of 1954 he married his high school sweet heart Sharon Ryberg.

Those left to cherish Howard are his children; Rob (Lucy) Young and Shelley (Duane) Ditmyer, grandchildren; Nick (Barb) Hinz, Kelley (Ryan) Bennett, Kristen Young, Daniel Young, Misty Ditmyer, and great granddaughter Claire Elizabeth Hinz, sister Joyce Jamison. Bumpa and Dad please give Mom and Gramma a big hug and kiss from all of us.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11:00 am. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Reformation Lutheran Church.
