Hobart "Hobe" Lindsay
Hobart "Hobe" Lindsay, age 82 of Lambertville passed away Thursday, December 30th, 2004 in St. Anne's Hospital. He was born January 22, 1922 to Frank and Lori (Ivey) Lindsay in Jellico, TN. Hobe was employed with Scholz Homes for 32 years. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran serving in the 27th Engineers Combat Battalion. Hobe was a member of the Carpenters and Jointers Union and the Snowmobiling Club. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Myrtle and Pernia and brother, Henry. Hobe is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Pearl (Williams) Lindsay; son, David V. York; grandson, Robert D. York; granddaughters, Terri and Tammy York; 3 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and 6 sisters. Hobe also will be missed by many dear friends.
The family will receive guests Monday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Isham. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
