Hilda T. Switzer, 86, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2012. She was born on November 27, 1926 to the late Albert and Mary Richter in Toledo, Ohio.
Hilda worked at A & P Tea Co. for 32 years. After retirement, she worked part-time at Subway. Family was very important to Hilda; she always put her family's needs before hers.
In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Bud; brother, Elton and sister, Lillie. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary (Chris) and Judy (Mike) Kurdziel; sister, Nancy (Dick) Adamowicz; grandchildren, Michael, Bradley (Julie) and Erika; great-grandchildren, Haylee, Karys, Raven and one on-the way and furry companion, her dog, Sadie.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Burial at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
The family requests Memorial Donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
