Hesong Chen

Hesong Chen, age 83, of Maumee, passed away Monday, October 21st, 2019 at Advanced Specialty Hospital, Toledo. Hesong was born September 30th, 1936 in Hu jiang Fu zhou, China to Nian Xiang Chen and Yao Di Xie. He and his wife Lianying Lin traveled to the USA in 2013.

Hesong was a kind and caring man who helped many people throughout his lifetime. He grew up on a small secluded island in China where there was not any wealth or industry; there was no electricity for lighting the island. Hesong's family and many other families struggled to earn an income. And this is why as Hesong grew into manhood, he was devoted to finding ways to help his family and many other families on the island become prosperous by bringing industry and jobs to their island.

He traveled to many Asian countries and Canada seeing and learning about new trades and different types of industry. Hesong helped many people travel to several big cities to learn how to do many of these jobs and trades then helped them bring these businesses and opportunities back to the island growing the island into a successful place to live and learn. Many of the jobs Hesong learned included coal mining, the shipping industry and manufacturing bricks for building. He also worked on the high seas in transportation. Hesong helped many people that lived on this small island become wealthy because he encouraged them to travel to the big cities and learn many trades that they could bring back to the island to make the island a wonderful place to live.

Hesong was known and loved by many. His Family is so very proud of all he has accomplished in his lifetime. They are also grateful for the life lessons he taught them, the people he has helped them become.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lianying Lin; children, Cui Bi Chen (Zai Guo Wang), Cui Yu Chen (JinGui Wu), Xun Chen (Chuqin Zhang), Wen Chen (Huiqin Wang), Cui Chun Chen (Jon Bu Won) and Zheng Chen (Qiu Xia Zhang); grandchildren, Xing, Jing and FengJie Wang, Xin Xin (Lizhi Zhu) and BinBin
(Xi Yue Zhang) Wu, Qian and Chloe Chen, Rachel Chen, Kong Xin Won and Steven and Jared Chen; 5 sisters and 4 brothers.

The family will receive guests Sunday, October 27th, 2019 from 9:00 -11:30 a.m. at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). There will be a Funeral procession beginning Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, arriving at Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery in Perrysburg, Ohio at noon where burial will take place.
