Herbie dedicated 43 years of his life to working as a machine operator for Libbey Glass, where he became known for his diligence and commitment to his craft before retiring in 2014. His work ethic was matched only by his vibrant personality, marked by a unique combination of humor and warmth. Herbie was a jokester at heart, always ready with a funny quip to brighten someone’s day. He enjoyed picking on his family members, a playful trait that endeared him to his loved ones. He was truly a giving and loving individual who prioritized time spent with family and friends.

When he wasn’t working, Herbie passionately pursued a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He loved fishing, spending hours outdoors enjoying nature growing his little tomatoes. He had a fascination with trains, which included train watching and building model trains. His enthusiasm for sports was evident in his support for Ohio State Football and The Green Bay Packers, and he found great pleasure in working on his cherished 72 Chevelle—a true testament to his love for automotive craftsmanship.

Herbie is survived by his daughters, Carolynn Fackler and fiancé Jim Gill, and Tracy Patrzalek and her husband Jason. He was a proud grandfather to Michayla, Tyler, Alexander, and Clifford, and a delighted great-grandfather to Mason and Arrabella. He shared a strong bond with his siblings, including Charles Fackler, Jeanne Smith, Cynthia Roark and her husband Otis, and Brian Fackler. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of nieces, extended family, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Herbie was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Herbert Fackler Sr. and Ruth Fackler, as well as his brother Ronald Fackler. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on through the many lives he touched. The warmth of his spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
