Herbert "Herbie" Tarsha
Herbert "Herbie" Tarsha, age 88, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008. He was born July 4, 1919 to Samuel and Emily Tarsha in Toledo. Herbert was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, serving his country proudly. He was employed at Chrysler Jeep for over 10 years and Spicer and American Motors. Herbert also worked as a card dealer in Las Vegas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Al Tarsha; sister, Lil Tarsha and former wife, Carole Veilleux. Herbert is survived by his daughters, Olivia Tarsha and Valerie (Dennis) Kretin and grandchildren, Lashanea, Daneka and Jesse Vallejo and Michelle Kretin; great grandchildren, Lauren Aubry, Albert and Alexus Peake and life long friends, Sammy Besase and Donnie VanGutten.
The family will receive guests on Saturday from 12-1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) followed by Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Toledo.
