Henry E. "E.T." "Ed" Thompson, Jr. age 79, of Toledo, passed away April 23, 2018 at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born February 11, 1939 in Toledo. ET was a graduate of Libbey High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Toledo. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. ET was employed with The Andersons for more than 25 years retiring in 2003. Prior to The Andersons, he also was a sales manager in the Tool and Die Industry. He was an avid golfer with the Toledo Retirees League and bowler. He was a member of the Przybylski Post 642 and enjoyed playing euchre at the post. ET loved being in his garden and taming the neighborhood wild cats. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 40 years. ET was extremely intelligent, an avid reader, compassionate and could build anything.
ET was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Thompson; sister, Judith Lee Bruno and cousin, Patty Patton. He is survived by his cousins, Jennifer (Philip) Klempner, Lori (Doug) Schultz, Mindie Klempner, Chelsee Patton; aunt, Velerh Bruno and godson, Steven Parrish.
The family will receive guests, Friday, April 27, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4560 Glendale Ave., Toledo. Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 am at the church. Burial will be held at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
