Our loving father, Henry F. "Hank" "Sweet Henry" Jaworski, age 87, of Toledo, was called home to Glory, to the loving arms of Jesus, his Savior and Lord, on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. He was born on March 29, 1924 to Felix and Josephine (Ostrowski) in Hamtramck, Michigan. Hank was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, serving in WWII. He was a tail gunner in a B-26 Mirauder. Hank was employed with the United States Postal Service as a mail sorter for over 30 years until retiring. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Chester Zablocki Senior Center and enjoyed gardening. Hank was very devoted to his family, and he cherished nothing more than spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kristen Lee Jaworski, great-grandchildren, Stacey Renee and John Raymond Merritt and sister-in-law, Bernice Jaworski. Hank is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy Jaworski; children, Larry (Debby) Jaworski, Karen Wright, Terry (Cheryl) Jaworski and Bonnie Bell; grandchildren, Jayme (Dave) Weiden, Adam (Michelle) Jaworski, Kimberly (Ken) Decker, Jason (Kathy) Jaworski, Matthew Jaworski, Jennifer (Brenden) Johnson and Arthur Bell; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Arthur P. Jaworski.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with a Time of Sharing at 7:00 p.m. Memorial Services will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Hickory Ridge of Temperance, MI, St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Promedica Hospice for all of their loving care and support given to Hank and his family through this difficult time.
