Henry Carpenter, age 63, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007 in the Flower Hospital. He was born June 26, 1943 to Roy and Grace (Henderson)Carpenter in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Henry was a meat-cutter, employed with the former Food Town and a meat manager with Farmer Jack for many years. He then became an Inspector for the State of Ohio for 5 years. Henry was a talented master carpenter and owned and operated his own company, "H. Carpenter & Son", doing home improvements for 20 years. He also enjoyed cooking and commercial art. Most importantly, Henry cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and also his friends.
Henry is survived by his loving children, Michael (Aviance) Carpenter and Michelle Wilcox; 9 grandchildren; sisters, Harriet Susan Henderson and Grace (Artie) Sanders; brother, William Henderson; former wife and dear friend, Loraine Hill and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive guests Saturday from 5-6:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. Officiating will be Clyde Kynard.
