Helen Sutherland

Helen M. Sutherland, age 80, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, February 26, 2022. She was born on September 19, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late John and Helen (Zam) Abraham.

Helen graduated from Central Catholic High School and went on to further her education at Mary Manse College, in Toledo, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in education. She helped in the office with various tasks at her son's business, Dave's Professional Window Cleaning. Helen was an active member of Regina Coeli Parish since 1967. Helen enjoyed crafting, especially making beautiful flower arrangements, and attending craft shows. She loved making fudge with her grandchildren, a memory that will forever be remembered. A beautiful soul who was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she will forever be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband, Roger Sutherland, whom she married on June 27, 1964; son's, Mike (Beckie) Sutherland, Dave (Aimee) Sutherland and Karen (Ron) Nevers; grandchildren, Lily Katona, Eric Sutherland, Zach Sutherland, John Sutherland, Mark Sutherland and Emily Sutherland; brothers, Steve Abraham and Joe Abraham

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Sutherland, who passed in 1974.

Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 10:00 am, at Regina Coeli Parish, 530
Regina Pkwy, Toledo, Ohio, 43612, with Father Jim Auth officiating. Helen will be laid to rest in Toledo Memorial Park.
