Helen Moore

Helen G. Moore, age 96, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born April 23, 1915 in Toledo to Chester B. and Cara May (Harrington) Caldwell. Helen was in the first graduating class from DeVilbiss High School in 1933 and was still attending class reunions. She was employed as a personal secretary for many companies for over 50 years. A talented seamstress, Helen made most of her clothes during her working years. Helen was a long time member of the Toledo Zoo and Toledo Art Museum. She was also a volunteer at St. Luke's for over 50 years. Helen was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church for many years.

Left to cherish her memory is Helen's dear friend and longtime caregiver, Candy Belanga; niece, Carol (Ted) Gamble; and nephew, Ray (Carol) Caldwell. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Moore; and brothers, Ray and Robert Caldwell.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Augsburg Lutheran Church, 1342 West Sylvania Ave Toledo, Ohio 43612. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-473-0300).
