Helen B. Mayberry

Helen B. Mayberry, age 79, of Toledo, formerly of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away October 2, 2021 at home. She was born on December 31, 1941 to William and Floretta (Parker) Broughman Natural Bridge, Virginia. Helen was an excellent seamstress and loved being in the mountains. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and NASCAR, especially Dale Jarrett. Helen enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters; and grandson, Eric Scruggs. Left to cherish Helen's memory are her loving sister, Frances Chittum; children, Tony (Pat) Mayberry, Alex Mayberry, Kevin (Maria) Mayberry and Karla (Nathan) Plotner; grandchildren, Sean, Melanie, Dillon, Kristin, Kimberly, and Kyla; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

At this time, there will be no visitation or services for Helen honoring her wishes. Newcomer Funeral Home, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
