Helen Gorajewski

Helen Gorajewski, age 94, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, June 11th, 2011 at Heatherdowns and Rehabilitation and Residence Center. She was born February 21st, 1917 in Toledo. Helen was a member and past president of Wroblewski Post # 18 and she was also a member of Conn-Weissenberger American Legion. Helen enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, bingo and a good game of cards. She was also known for her wonderful cooking and festive family dinners. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her dear, husband of more than 50 years, Raymond W. Gorajewski and several brothers and sisters. Helen is survived by her daughters, Judith (Gerald) Jarzynski, Bernie Ciaramella and Joanne (Frank) Jeffries; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and brother, Joseph Jagodzinski.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 3-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Mass of Resurrection will begin Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Parkway. Officiating will be Fr. James Auth.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Heatherdowns Rebabilitation and Residence Center and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care and support that they provided for Helen.
