Helen Golembiewski

Helen Golembiewski, age 88, of Toledo, passed away Friday, January 8th, 2010 at the Franciscan Care Center. She was born September 10th, 1921 to Karol and Mary (Bejowna) Wasielewski in Toledo. Helen was employed with St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in dietery for 20 years. Helen was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church and the St. Vincent Mercy Hospital Retirees. Helen also enjoyed a good game of Bingo and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Golembiewski and son, Paul Golembiewski. She is survived by her children, Dorothy (Lorin) Stoldt; Gerry (Tom) Williams; John (Diane) Golembiewski and Gloria Currier; 12 grandchildren and numerous great and great great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer funeral home, 4150 w. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4555 North Haven. Officiating will be Fr. Doug Garand. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Helen's Family would like to thank Esther, Michelle, Leslie, Evelyn and Sr. Jordan of the Franciscan Care Center, as well as, nurses, Amy and Michelle, also of Franciscan Care Center for the loving care and support they provided to Helen and her family.
