Helen Edinger
October 1, 1925 — December 13, 2015
Helen Edinger, 90, passed away on Sunday December 13, 2015 at Hospice of NW Ohio with her family by her side.
Preceded in death by her husband of nearly 67 years, Urban, sons Bob & Bill, brothers William & Raymond Comstock & parents James & Bessie Comstock. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Edinger, Gloria (John) Wilson, Phil (Janice) Edinger, Connie (Joe) Muniz, & Suzy (Chris) Wilson; and daughters in law, Mary Edinger & Kendy Edinger Vamos and brother, Harry (Norma) Comstock. She also leaves behind 18 loving grandchildren & 13 beautiful great grandchildren.
Born in Sylvania on October 1, 1925, Helen was a lifelong Sylvania/Toledo resident. She spent her early adult life as a teacher and a mother of seven. Later she turned to office/bookkeeping work for many years to follow, while remaining the best teacher & mother until the end. Beautiful inside & out, Helen touched all who had the privilege to meet her.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday December 15, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd (419-381-1900). Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 10:00am with interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Helen's name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
