HEATHER EILEEN FISHER WELSH, 41, of Sylvania, Ohio, formerly of Oak Park, Michigan, born October 23, 1970, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 27, 2012, after a courageous 12-year battle with breast cancer. Heather was the beloved wife for 18 years of Greg A. Welsh, devoted mother of Meagan, Shayna and Carys Welsh, loving daughter of D.D. and Stephen R. Fisher, cherished sister of Jeremy & Isis Fisher, daughter-in-law of Joan G. Welsh & William A. Welsh, dear niece of Barbara & Norman Benjamin, Michael & Lori Desmon. Also remembered by many loving cousins and friends.
Heather, in her short 41 years, was able to accomplish many things; she attended Eastern Michigan University and was very active in Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority. She was the "CEO of the Welsh household", an avid gardener with an artistic flair, feisty spirit, a lover of animals (especially her adored cat "McGwire") and a zest for life; she was a warrior, fighter and leader who is fitting of always being remembered on Memorial Day weekend. Heather has been an inspiration to all who knew her; for her positive outlook and loving heart.
Memorial service 2:30pm, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and an internment service will be conducted at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St. in Sylvania, Ohio at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 1,2012 in the cemetery's "Chapel of Peace."
