Hazel D. Justus, age 92, of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at her home with her loving daughters by her side. She was born on April 5, 1929 in Fort Payne, Alabama to Hal and Cora Lee Wooten. Hazel married John on February 23, 1947 in Fort Payne, Alabama. She was a long term waitress at Smith's Restaurant in downtown Toledo where she retired from after 30 years. Hazel was an avid gardener, loved being outside and with her family. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Linda Lieber and Gloria Justus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John; sister, Pauline Dillard; and nephew, L.H. Richardson.
The family will have Private Graveside Services for Hazel at Restlawn Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest next to her husband John. Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
