Harvey Schmieder

Harvey R. Schmieder, age 57, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 11, 1950 to Harvey and Virginia (Curtis) Schmieder in Toledo. Harvey was a truck driver with DTL Trucking for many years. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed boating and loved aviation. Harvey will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Martin Martinez, Jr. Harvey is survived by his loving family, children: Chad and April Schmieder; grandson: Andrew David; siblings: Julie (Martin) Martinez, Dorothy Atkins, Bonnie Paulun, Joyce (Jim) Caris, Martin (Shirley) Schmieder and John (Margaret) Schmieder; 12 nieces; and 5 nephews.

The family will receive guests on Friday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Wallace H. Williams. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
