Harvey A. Green, Jr.
February 1, 1940 — June 6, 2017
Harvey A. Green, Jr., age 77, took the hand of his beloved wife, Marilyn on June 6, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on February 1, 1940 to the late Evelyn and Harvey A. Green, Sr. in Toledo, Ohio.
Harvey worked at General Mills and retired from AP Parts. He was also Chairman of UAW Local 14. Harvey loved fishing on the Kerri Lynn I and II with his wife. He was a man with a great smile and loved to tease everyone. Harvey was also a proud Navy Veteran. He was also a 1958 graduate of DeVilbiss High school.
In addition to his wife and parents, Harvey was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Clifford; siblings, Madelene King and John Green and beloved dogs, Pupper, Heidi and Spike. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Robert Green and Kerri (fiancé, Roger Hill) Kiel; siblings, Patricia (Ron) Groll, Clifford (Pam) Green, Stephanie (Robert Engle) Wilson; grandchildren, Robert, Scott Michael, Josh, Catherine, Kyle, Jimmy, Kristina, Cydney, Cory, Alex, Dean and Zach; many nieces and nephews, cousins and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 4:00 p.m.
