Harry Purney

Harry "Lee" Purney, age 81, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2017. He was born on October 28, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio.
Lee retired in 1990 after 30 years at Toledo Edison/First Energy as a Journeyman Lineman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Lee was a member of Heritage Church of God. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, friends and love of fun.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Judy of 46 years; children, Kathy (William) Ramos, Tammy (Richard) Graves, Tammy Sniadecki, Scott (Julie) White, Connie Brand and Greg (Gina) Purney; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Violet (Edward) Hankenhof and Nelson Purney; sons, Peter and Todd Purney; siblings, Richard, Jack, Guy and Suzie.
The family will receive guests on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Interment will be held at Highland Memory Gardens.
The family requests memorial donations be made to: Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
