Harry Johnson, age 79 of Toledo passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2003 in the Toledo Hospital. He was born May 12, 1923 to Harry and Violet (Beesch) Johnson Sr. in Toledo. Harry formerly owned a trucking company for many years and retired from Branch Motor Express. He was a WWII US Army Veteran and a member of Teamsters Local 20. Harry enjoyed building birdhouses for his grandchildren and working on his extensive display of Lionel trains.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his sisters; Jane ________ and Betty Viertlbeck and brother; Robert Johnson. Harry is survived by his loving wife of 36 years; Edith (Woodcock), children; Michelle (Hisham) Bassiouni, Deborah (Jay) Catlow, Cheryl (Lawrence) Long and William (Jennifer) Gunn, grandchildren; Omar and Dalia Bassiouni, Dawn Scarberry and Tamara Sass, Michael and Sara Harris and William Jr. and Samantha Gunn, brother; Don Johnson, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Harry is also survived by his faithful dog; "Suzie".
There will be no visitation and Memorial Services will be private. Entombment will be in Toledo Memorial Park.
