Harry David Hummel, age 83 of Temperance passed away Saturday, October 2nd, 2004 in Lake Park. He was born April 4th, 1921 to Thomas D. and Hannah M. (Friedrichson) Hummel in Williston, Ohio. Harry was a Service Man with Zimmerman Heating for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He entered the U.S. Navy and served honorably as a Seaman First Class(GM). Harry was a member of Local 33 and was an avid golfer. He was a member of Maple Grove Golf Club and the Retiree Club where he shot a
hole in one
in 1999. Harry lived his life by the golden rule,
Due unto others as you would have them do to you.

that he always dedicated to the love of his life, Mary Alice, my high school sweet heart, my partner and my soul. Love Dad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Dale Hummel (brother of my heart) and Tommy D. Hummel and sister, Dorthy Hummel. Harry is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Alice (Hiteshew) Hummel; daughters, Dianne S. (Thomas) Trabbic and Suzanne G. (Donald) Thompson; son, Michael D. (Wendy) Hummel; grandchildren, Kelly, Robin; Tony; Jodi; Danny; Laura; Hollianne; Tommy and Evie; great grandchildren, Joshua; Jacob; Jessica; Brian; Matt; Colin; Paige; Erin; Garod; Charlotte; Casey; Emily; Amelia and Demitri.
The family will receive guests Monday from 4-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Gary L. Rader. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Hospice, 383 W. Dussell Dr. Maumee, OH. 43537.
