Harry R. Gunn, age 82, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania. He was born on September 25, 1933 in Toledo to Robert and Florence (LeGro) Gunn. Harry worked for the Toledo Edison Co. as a Mechanic for over 40 years and retired from there. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corp. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church for many years. Harry enjoyed camping with his family and friends, motorcycling, bowling, boating and was a fan of the New England Patriots.
Harry is survived by his children, Keith (Susan), Scott (Cheryl), Kerry (Toni), John (Kristen) and Mark (Janna); grandchildren, Derrek (Ashley), Danielle, Andrew (Jessica), Ryan, Chelsea (Tyler), Gage, Logan and Caleb; great-grandchildren, Damion, Abigail, Dawson and Caleb; sister, Merle Liebneau; and brother, Tommy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Harry's wish was to be cremated. He will be laid to rest, at a Private Ceremony at a later date. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the nurses of Flower Hospital and Ebeid Hospice. And a special thanks to Maureen, his close friend, for all her help.
