Harriet L. Hickman

Harriet L. Hickman, age 59, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice with her loving husband holding her hand. She was born November 17, 1958 to Rudolph and Bertha (Seligman) Fritch in Toledo. Harriet was a graduate of Whitmer High School and also obtained her cosmetology license. For many years she was employed at Jacobson's Hair Salon and ended her career at Salon 213. Harriet was a people person, loved to help others and had a smile that could light up a room. She had a special relationship with all of her clients and co-workers. Harriet was a devoted wife, mom, nana, sister and friend to all. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Fritch; and grandson, Kyle Mitchell. Harriet is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Kerry Hickman; children, Justin Ryan, Jason (Alexia) Hickman and Amanda (Eric) Mitchell; grandchildren, Amanda, Zack, Taylor, Electra, Anthony, Kaleb and Marietta; 2 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joan Fritch; special nephew, Zachary Fritch; in-laws, Ronnie (Debbie) Cruzan, Sandra (Steve) Lubinski, Jackie Hickman, Brad (Ida) Hickman, Pam (Butch Brown) Hayes, Tom (Jodie) Hickman, Ellen (David) Cruz, Laura (Paul) Hernandez and Tammy Corral; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
