Harriet E. Banks, 91, went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2013. She was born on January 15, 1922 to the late Reva and Harry Mumford in Toledo, Ohio.
Harriet loved her church, she was a devoted Catholic her entire life. She enjoyed music, the Ohio Lottery and the Pittsburg Steelers.
In addition to her parents, Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Charles V. Banks "Volly"; son, Charles Woods; daughters, Brenda Davis, Betty Willis and Patricia Johnson and son-in-law, James Boykin. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Harry Woods and Reva Boykin; sister, Mary Hagler; 23 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 10-11:00 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 1119 W. Bancroft, Toledo. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
