Harold S. Carman, age 86, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, March 8th, 2006 in West Toledo Healthcare. He was born October 18th, 1919 to David and Mary Carman in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Harold was a truck driver for over 20 years. Harold was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWII. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Adams Township Post and Past Commander of the Cooties of the VFW Commodore Perry Post #3338. Harold also raised and showed championship bulldogs.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Carman and his brother Paul Carman.
He is survived by his children: Gloria (Jim) McBride, of Libby, MT, Judy (Charlie) Kimble, of Lima, Sam (Linda), of Dayton, Skip (Mary Ann), of Temp., MI, Dave (Tracy) and Tim Carman, both of Toledo; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
