Harold B. Taylor, age 80, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on April 30, 1934 to James and Loretta (Campbell) Taylor in Toledo. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly. He was an avid bowler, fisherman and enjoyed camping. Harold was also a fan of the Detroit Tigers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Shirley McLean-Taylor; and 8 brothers and sisters. Harold is survived by his loving children, James Taylor, Thomas (Veronica) Taylor, Denise (Robert) Geiner, Daniel (Laura) Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor; step-children, Vicki (Steve) Voyantzis, Steve McLean, Terry (Lori) McLean and Mark McLean; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way; 3 sisters; and many other relatives and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
