Harlene Brown
Harlene Brown, age 67 of Holland passed away Thursday, September 16th, 2004 in St. Luke's Hospital. She was born September 7th, 1937 to George and Magnolia (Wormsly) Hampton in Fleming Neon, Kentucky. Harlene was very involved with the Volunteers of America for many years. She was also a longtime member of Roberts Chapel. Harlene enjoyed traveling and camping. Most importantly she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Harlene touched many hearts and her memory will live on in her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Brown and son, Thomas Alan Brown. Harlene is survived by her loving children, Tamara (John) Cooper; Timothy (Kimberly) Brown; Terry Brown; Todd (Chrystina) Brown and Tracy (Jennifer) Brown; brothers, William (Lila) Hampton and Kenneth (Annette) Hampton and sister, Betty (Virgil) Herroon; grandchildren, Tiffany; Mallory; Nicole; Kirsten; Kaitlin; Seth; Joel; Liam; Katelynn; Victoria and Hannah; and very dear friends, Marlene Martin and Pat Spellis.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 1-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Roberts Chapel, 9300 Maumee Western Rd., Maumee. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor Scott McCutcheon. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
The Brown family would like to thank the staff of 2 East and I.C.U. at St. Luke's Hospital for the loving care and support they provided for Harlene. A special thanks also to Dr. Nizar Daboul for taking such good care of Harlene. She thought the world of you.
